I will stamp all over 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to publicize next month's bout.

Ex two time unified title holder Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Boxer's Mindset

"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead targeted ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the novice continues to be one of boxing's largest financial successes, consistently making substantial paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would derail the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As both boxers met for the customary face-off, with their height and weight contrast evident, it drove home just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is truly proceeding.
